Dear Friends and Colleagues,

We look forward to welcoming you to the Spring 2016 Meeting of the British Peripheral Nerve Society, which will be held on Friday 11th March 2016 at Corpus Christi College, Cambridge, UK. The meeting will start at 10.00 (coffee from 09.30) and finish around 18.00.

Registration has now closed. We are grateful for sponsorship from the pharmaceutical industry to allow us to keep the registration fee low.

This meeting will be held jointly with the Belgian-Dutch Neuromuscular Group and will include an enjoyable mixture of clinical case presentations, lectures and discussion on clinical aspects of peripheral nerve disease. The full programme is now available for downloading below. Guest speakers will include Hessel Franssen on 'Node and neuropathy', David Bennett on 'Clinical aspects of small fibre neuropathy', and Ingemar Merkies on 'Monitoring outcome measures in clinical practice' with audience participation in an open discussion session on this topic.

The deadline for abstract submission has now passed. Please note that consent is required from any living patient to be presented.

The drinks reception (1900-1930) is open to anyone registered for the meeting without additional cost. If you would like to attend the dinner (1930) and have not yet registered for it, we have one or two spare spaces (£50) so please email Rhys Roberts [rcr20@cam.ac.uk (link sends e-mail)].

New UK Charity for Peripheral Neuropathy

The BPNS wish to facilitate setup of a new charity for peripheral neuropathy in the UK.  There is no charity or association in the UK which supports people with all the many causes of peripheral neuropathy.  Only a few specific causes of neuropathy have a UK charity, such as CMT-UK, GAIN and Diabetes UK.  There is no UK charity to support idiopathic neuropathy, painful small fibre neuropathy (except general pain charities), brachial neuritis, carpal tunnel and entrapment neuropathies, chemotherapy neuropathy (except cancer charities), etc. Several people have come forward to assist with this and work is progressing to get the new charity up and running.
